What Tools Do You Need to Be a Successful Affiliate

What are the ingredients of an affiliate marketing success story? What does it take to become a successful Affiliate Marketer? Is there a shortcut to Affiliate Marketing glory? All these questions play around in the minds of affiliate marketers who want to make it big in this business.
Although affiliate marketing isone of the easiest and most effective ways to earn money online, it is not as easy as it sounds. The wise affiliate marketer plans every action and executes it the best way he can. He should also maximize the potential to earn by utilizing the right tools necessary for a successful Affiliate Marketing business. We consulted some of the most successful affiliate marketers in the business. Below are listed the top three necessary tools for a successful affiliate marketing business.

Tool #1: Your Own Website

The most important and indispensable tool in Affiliate Marketing is your own website. The first step in any successful affiliate marketing business is building a good, credible and professional looking website. Your website is the jump off point of all your marketing efforts. Thus, you must first build a user-friendly website, which will appeal to your prospects and encourage them to click on the links to the products and service you are promoting and make a purchase. Therefore, you must first concentrate your efforts in building a website that will cater to what your prospects need.

The most important thing you should consider is that most web users don't necessarily to go online to buy something. They go online to look for information. Above all else, make your website full of original, relevant and useful content. People will love articles that are appealing and helpful. Keep in mind that, in the internet, content is still king and good quality content will not only build your credibility, it can also help you achieve a higher search engine ranking. By posting relevant and useful articles, you establish yourself as a credible expert in the field, making you a more trustworthy endorser of the product or service you promote. Establishing a good reputation is a good step in building up a loyal consumer base.

Tool #2: Incentives

Competition is extremely tight in the internet world. You must always be one-step ahead of your rivals to ensure that you capture a significant share of your target market. Therefore, you must use every possible means to encourage people not only to visit your site but also to click and proceed to the websites of the products and services you are promoting. Building an opt-in email list is one of the best ways to gather prospects. Offer a newsletter or an e-zine. Better yet, offer incentives to your prospects to encourage them to subscribe to your newsletters. You can present free softwares, access to exclusive services and other freebies that will be helpful to your prospects.

Tool #3: Link Popularity

The importance of driving highly targeted traffic to your website cannot be emphasized enough. The all-important web traffic is at the top of the list of the most important entities in the internet world. Attracting people to your site should be the first priority. Do everything to achieve a high search engine ranking. Link Popularity is one of the factors that search engines use to determine search engine rankings. Therefore, to enhance your link popularity you must launch an aggressive reciprocal link campaign.

One of the best ways to do this at no cost at all, is by submitting an article with your website link at the resource box to e-zines and free article sites. You will not only gain exposure, you will also have the opportunity to advertise for free. Just include a link back to your site. The more sites you submit your articles to, the better your link popularity is. Make your articles original, relevant and useful so that more websites will pick it up and post it.

These are but three of the many tools that an affiliate marketer can use to maximize earning potential. The possibilities are endless and are limited only by your imagination, creativity, resourcefulness and determination. You can always explore other ideas and adapt other strategies, which you think might help you become a high-rolling affiliate marketer.

It's all up to you. You are the master of your future and the path you take. The actions you take now will help you make the journey you take a long lasting success.

Do Scams Hide Inside Low Cost Advertising

“A business without a sign is a sign of no business”. This is an advertising banner or quotation which can be viewed in large billboards along the roads and on the side or top of buildings that are vacant. Television and radio would say, “This program would not be shown or be heard without advertisement”. We watch free television where the programs are produced by payments for advertisements.

Business owners understand how important an advertisement is. It is in this manner that they would tell everybody that they are selling products and offering services. They would not have sales, which in turn give them profit, if people would not notice and buy their products and avail of their services.

However, it is not happy to note that there are people who would try to steal money from advertisers and business owners by offering cheap advertisement packages and not delivering the agreed service. Business owners and advertisers should be informed of this because they would become victims of a scam.

The scam here is when the advertiser paid for these different kinds of services but none, or some of them are not really even performed. The main point to consider here is with whom is the advertiser transacting with. To avoid being ripped off doing a background check, knowing the following will help.

  • past successful projects as evident on customers comments
  • a good reputation that will be confirmed by his references, (people that he's had past transaction with and that are also reputable)

The pay-per-click ad campaign is when an advertiser would pay a certain agreed amount by the search engine developers every time a user clicks on that banner. This was a good idea before it was tampered with by hackers who developed a certain program to automatically click on that banner, which in turn increases the amount to be paid by the advertiser. The next paying scheme was the “pay per action”, which is harder to hack since the advertiser would only pay the search engine developers an agreed amount every time a sale would be done on that customer.

One thing is for sure, advertising on the Internet is not easy but it can be productiv, especially when one understands fully the power of the Internet. It is not a unidirectional means of advertising like the television or radio, but it is an interactive avenue for both the advertiser and the prospective clients.

Anyone Can Build a Rich Niche

If you've been trying to build an online business, or even earn a little extra cash online, you probably know it's not an easy task, especially if you are on a low budget. If you think of building your business in real-life terms, building your dream on the Internet is easier and less expensive. There are all kinds of help sites and programs available for the novice. The Internet harbors an incredible wealth of information.

If you are anything like me then you will keep on trying to get something going on the Internet, because you know that there are millions of dollars to be had and you want a piece of the action too. I've only been doing this a few months, but I've crammed my brain with so much info that I feel like I'm somewhat of an expert and certainly not because I made lots of money, because I haven't. The stubborn side of me will continue to try different ideas until I succeed. Okay. I'll admit I'm somewhat overwhelmed right now, but it will all work out in the end, once I've eliminated some of the crap, that is, that I've accumulated while pursuing and implementing my online business.

When I want to wipe away confusion I go back to the beginning. Where did it all start? That comes down to personal dreams and desires for me. Right now I am fighting the illness battle and cannot work outside the home. I want to contribute to paying the bills so the financial burdens don't rest on my husband's shoulders.

Plus I am an info junkie, but I also know that things will smooth out when I am more organized. I started looking for online work opportunities and found out that wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. I searched for data entry, typing, surveys, work at home, etc., only to find that everything cost too much money or was not available to Canadians. I found an ad in the classifieds offering data entry material for a job that I thought had earning potential. I paid my $8 and found out it was a scam. I would be getting people to reply to the same ad in the same manner I did, and send them the same material I got for $8. It sure gives data entry positions a bad reputation as I will most likely never reply to that type of ad again. I just couldn't scam people that way.

Then I tried a pay program that offered multiple streams of income. You can answer surveys, read mail, and apply for freelance jobs. This is good, I guess, but I am very disappointed that MOST of the survey sites don't offer Canadians their services. However, from the ones I am able to fill I am earning a few dollars here and there. Another thing I don't like is that I paid for a program that one can apply for almost anywhere on the Internet for free. All those surveys can be accessed from just about any click to earn programs that offer multiple streams of income. The potential is definitely there. Live and learn, I guess, and that's exactly what I am doing.

Then I found this great eye-opener Ebook. It was free to download and had my interest peeked. The Affiliate Masters Course REALLY opened my eyes to Internet Marketing and how to become wealthy on the internet by building your own niche. I was, and still am, on a quest to build a website designed using my niche and I would utilize this free tool that I found inside this amazing book. I wish I could have utilized Site Build It! because that would have solved a whole lot of issues that I had like wanting to fling the frustrating site builder that came with my free hosting into my trash can. Despite all that, I can still build my niche using the valuable information found in The Affiliate Masters Course.

Because I couldn't get Site Build It!, I had to come up with my own way to get a domain. There are many inexpensive places to register a domain name, but I don't think you can get one free unless you pay for another service at the same site. I paid for a domain name registration. Then I had to find a place to host my name. It's no good to have a domain name if you have nowhere to put it. I couldn't afford that either so I went for the free hosting. Of course, there are always limitations when using the free alternative.

I want so much to invest in Site Build It!, because it would make things much easier.

Only Site Build It! (SBI!) provides:
You can do so much with SBI!
  • help you build your business site and publish it to the web
  • give you marketing tools exclusive to SBI owners
  • teach you how to create demand content that brings visitors flocking to your site
  • help you to PREsell your site while developing trust with your visitors
  • show you how to monetize with multiple steams of income
  • provide domain name registration, hosting and an easy to use site builder with loads of extras
  • show you how to advertise your site to most effectively bring in the visitors
For your free copy of The Affiliate Masters Course - Become a high-earning affiliate, send an email to sheart@mybestmail.com and I will send you the download link.

This is what I built using what I learned from the Affiliate Masters Course: Love2Sing Karaoke Store. It's still under construction and I am sure improvements will happen as I learn more, but you are free to look around. I really wish I was able to use Site Build It!, however, I did utilize some of the excellent free tools (found inside Affiliates Masters Course) to get it together.

Day-to-Day Life as an Affiliate

The affiliate marketing is not so hard these days with the Internet at our fingertips. I remember when people had to use primitive ways to communicate or to make use of the telephones and other mediums of information just to get the latest updates on the way their program is coming along.

So with technology at hand, and assuming the affiliate works from home, a day in his or her life would sound something like this…
  • Upon waking up and after having breakfast, the computer gets turned on to check out new developments in the network. As far as the marketer is concerned there might be new things to update and statistics to keep track of.
  • The site design must be revised. The marketer knows that a well-designed site can increase sign ups from visitors. It can also help in the affiliates conversion rates.
  • Now it is time to submit the affiliate program to directories that lists affiliate programs. These directories are the means to attract people in joining your affiliate program. A sure way of promoting the affiliate program.
  • Time to track down sales from your affiliates fairly and accurately. There are phone orders and mails to track down. Are there new clients checking the products out? Noting down the contact information might be a viable source in the future.
  • There are lots of resources to sort out like ads, banners, button ads and sample recommendations to give out. The marketer knows that this is one way of ensuring more sales. Best to stay visible and accessible too.
  • The affiliate marketer remembered that there are questions to answer from the visitors. This has to be done quickly. Nothing can turn off a customer more than an unanswered email.
  • To prove that the affiliate is working effectively and efficiently, check inquiries. Nobody wants to be ignored and customers are not always the most patient of all people. Quick answer that should appear professional yet friendly too.
  • In the process of doing all the necessities, the marketer is logged on to a chat room where he or she interacts with other affiliates and those under that same program. This is where they can discuss things on how to best promote their products.
  • There are things to be learned and it is a continuous process. Sharing tips and advice is a good way of showing support. There may be others out there wanting to join who may be enticed by the discussion that is going on. There is no harm in assuming what opportunities ahead.
  • The newsletters and ezines were updated days ago, so it is time for the affiliate marketer to see if there is anything new happening in the market. This will be written about in the marketer’s publication to be distributed to the old and new customers.
  • These same publications are also an important tool in keeping up to date with the newly introduced products. The marketer has put up a sale and promotion that customers may want to know about. Besides, they have to keep up with the deadline of these sales written in the publications.
  • It is that time to show some appreciation to those who have helped the marketer in the promotions and sale increase. Nothing improves relationships like mentioning the persons, their sites and the process they completed to make everything work.
  • The marketer still has time to write out recommendations to those who want credible sources for the products being promoted. There is also time to post some comments on how to be a successful affiliate marketer on a site where there are potential marketers.
As you can see, an affiliate marketer has a very busy life. But after all is said and done, Affiliate Marketing is a fun, rewarding experience and it is certainly a very good way to build an empire online.

You Don't Need a Website to Earn Online

Did you know that you don't need a website to earn online? You don't have to deal with customers, refunds, product development and maintenance if you don't have a web site. This is one of the easiest ways to launch an online business and earn more profits.

Let's assume you are already into an affiliate program, what is the next thing you would want to do? Double, or even triple, your commissions, right? How do you do that?

Here are some powerful tips on how to boost your affiliate program commissions overnight.

Know the best program and products to promote.

  • Promoting a program that will enable you to achieve the greatest profits in the shortest possible time is the main goal.
  • There are several factors to consider in selecting a program. Choose ones that have a generous commission structure. Select products that fit in with your target audience. And that has a solid track record of paying their affiliates with ease and on time. If you can't seem to make a profit, dump that program and keep looking for better ones.
  • There are thousands of affiliate programs online that give you the reason to be picky. You may want to select the best to avoid losing your advertising dollars.

Write free reports or short ebooks to distribute from your site.
  • There is a great possibility that you are competing with other affiliates who are promoting the same program. If you start writing a short report related to the product you are promoting, you will be able to distinguish yourself from the other affiliates.
  • In the reports, provide some valuable free information. If possible add some recommendations about the products. Ebooks give you credibility. Customers will see that and they will be enticed to try out what you are offering.

Collect and save the email addresses of those who download your free ebooks.
  • It is a known fact that people do not make a purchase on the first try. You may want to send out your message more than six times to make a sale.
  • This is the simple reason why you should collect the contact information of those who downloaded your reports and ebooks. You can do follow-ups on your contacts to remind them to make a purchase from you.
  • Get the contact information of a prospect before sending them to the vendor’s website. Keep in mind that you are providing free advertisement for the product owners. You get paid only when you make a sale. If you send prospects directly to the vendors chances are they would be lost to you forever.
  • When you get a prospects name you can always send other marketing messages to them to be able to earn an ongoing commissions and offer them valuable products for their business as well.

Publish an online newsletter or Ezine.
  • It is best to recommend a product to someone you know than to sell to a total stranger. This is the purpose behind publishing your own newsletter. This also allows you to develop a relationship based on trust with your subscribers.
  • This strategy is a delicate balance between providing useful information with a sales pitch. If you continue to write informative editorials you will be able to build a sense of trust in your readers that may lead them to support you by buying your products.. Ask for higher than normal commission from merchants. If you are already successful with a particular promotion, you should try and approach the merchant and negotiate a percentage commission for your sales.

Try these strategies out and you will have your business booming, even without a website.

How Do I Make the Money? Let Me Count the Ways

If you want to get the most out of your advertising endeavors, then look at how the top affiliates build their leads list.

Opt-in List
  • An opt-in list can be quite crucial to any site or internet based company. Even for a small venture such as a niche profit site an opt-in list can make a world of difference and also add some extra income for your pocket. Rarely will you see an e-commerce site, big or small, that is without an opt-in list.
  • An opt-in list allows for a company to market their wares and site via an e-mail. With an opt-in list, a site and a subscriber consents to sending and receiving a newsletter from your company. Through this, you can keep your subscribers up-to-date as to what is currently available in your site as well as whatever is coming out.
  • Because there is mutual consent between the two parties any mail sent to the list is not considered as spam mail. There is great success with read promotional materials such as catalogs, newsletters, etc., that are sent because the subscribers themselves have signed up for them.
  • Building a list is crucial, only a small percentage actually subscribes for an opt-in list. Many people find promotional mails annoying, however, if you provide a good newsletter or promotional material you will see your list grow. You can also achieve success by having good content on your site. If people like what they see and read on your site they will want to come back for more. Newsletters are a great way to attract them back to your site.

But other than marketing your wares and your services, an opt-in list can also be used to earn extra profit. Not all lists can be used though. It would be good to first build a successful list with a huge number of subscribers. The more subscribers you have, the more money you can get. Here are seven ways to make money using nothing more than your list.
  • Place advertisements. There are many corporations who are willing to pay you to put their banners and ads on a list that has many subscribers. Selling or renting out lists is not a good idea, so rather than doing that, many companies place ads with lists that have a huge subscriber base. Your newsletter could be placed with many ads.
  • Have affiliations with other companies that have at least a semblance or relation to what your site is about. Here other companies will provide links and brief descriptions of what they offer, products and services. With every click made on the link that directs or leads a subscriber from your list to their site, the company will pay you. This is called pay-per-click.
  • Make deals with other companies by asking for a small percentage of sales done through your list. With every sale done by customers that came from your list through your newsletter, the other company will pay you a small percentage of your sales.
  • Sell products through merchant affiliate sites and place links to them via your newsletter. Try placing descriptions, articles and photos of the product, with your link in your newsletter. That way the customer goes to your affiliate site and you earn commission from the sale.
  • Sell e-books or a articles on your list. Manuals and how-to articles are in great demand. People are willing to pay for knowledge. You could give e-books as a way to increase your opt-in list of possible customers.
  • Create a network out of your list. Get people to invite more people to view your site and subscribe to your list. This is a great way to build your network of affiliates, customers, and contacts.
  • Become an affiliate for the niche that you love! You can build your site. SiteBuildIt is an excellent program to start building any business you want with ease. Monetize your site by joining affiliate programs that help you sell the product suited to your niche. Then advertise and watch your business grow.

Here is a list of excellent opt-in advertising. Oh... did I mention that they have both FREE and pay options?

That should be plenty to get you started and it's a great way to build you leads list if you don't have one yet.

You Can Become A Super Affiliate In Niche Markets

Web hosting is a fast-growing industry. More companies are spreading their wings on the internet and experiencing the benefits of an exponential growing empire. Businesses need web sites to advertise their wares and and a web host to build it.

But it is much easier now to find the right web host for your application. The possibility of quality web hosting companies separating themselves from the rest of the industry is anticipated. If this is done, the unprofessional and incompetent ones will suffer.

Support is the number one consideration for people when choosing a web host. It will be obvious that traditional advertising will become less and less effective. Most people would rather opt for the web host based on things that they see and hear. Also based on the recommendations by those who have tried them and have proved to be a successful.

This is a great opportunity for web hosting affiliates and resellers alike. There are hundreds of web hosting programs to choose from making it much easier to find the right one to suit your needs.

How does one become a successful affiliate in the niche markets using web hosting?

If you think about it, everyone who needs a website needs a web hosting company to host it for them. Nowadays there are no leading hosting companies so hosts are chosen based on recommendations. A Google search will yield many sites for you to check into.

With so many hosts offering affiliate programs, there is the tendency to find the one which you think will work best for you. Think of the product you will be promoting. Pattern them to the site and see if they are catering to the same things as you are.

When you have been with one host for quite some time and seem not to be making much despite all your effort, leave that one and look for another. If you are quite happy and satisfied with your web host, try to see if they are offering an affiliate program you can participate in. Instead of you paying them, why not make it the other way around; them paying you. The process can be as easy as putting a small “powered by” or “hosted by” link at the bottom of your page and you are already in an affiliate business.

Always remember that when choosing a web host, choose the one that is known for its fantastic customer support. There are also many hosting affiliate programs. Residual affiliate program is also being hosted. This is the program wherein you get paid a percentage every month for every client you refer. This can give you a steady source of income. With perseverance you can make your business expand, step by step.

There are a lot of niche markets out there just waiting for the right affiliate to penetrate to them and make their dream come true. Knowing which one to sink your teeth takes research and time, but eventually your efforts will pay off.

Good luck to you!

So Many Affiliate Programs! Which One Do I Choose?

Ask questions first before you join an affiliate program. Do a little research about the choices of program that you intend to join into. Get some answers because they will be the deciding point of what you will be achieving later on.

Will it cost you anything to join? Most affiliate programs being offered today are absolutely free of charge. So why settle for those that charge you some dollars before joining.

When do they issue the commission checks? Every program is different. Some issue their checks once a month, every quarter, etc. Select the one that is suited to your payment time choice. Many affiliate programs are setting a minimum earned commission amount that an affiliate must meet or exceed in order for their checks to be issued.

What is the hit per sale ratio? This is the average number of hits to a banner or text link it takes to generate a sale based on all affiliate statistics. This factor is extremely important because this will tell you how much traffic you must generate before you can earn a commission from the sale.

How are referrals from an affiliate’s site tracked and for how long do they remain in the system? You need to be confident on the program enough to track those people you refer from your site. This is the only way that you can credit for a sale. The period of time that those people stay in the system is also important. This is because some visitors do not buy initially but may want to return later to make the purchase. Know if you will still get credit for the sale if it is done some months from a certain day.

What are the kinds of affiliate stats available? Your choice of affiliate program should be capable of offering detailed stats. They should be available online anytime you decide to check them out. Constantly checking your individual stats is important to know how many impressions, hits and sales are already generated from your site. Impressions are the number of times the banner or text link was viewed by a visitor of your site. A hit is the one clicking on the banner or text links.

Does the affiliate program also pay for the hits and impressions besides the commissions on sales? It is important that impressions and hits are also paid, as this will add to the earnings you get from the sales commission. This is especially important if the program you are in offers low sales to be able to hit ratio.

Who is the online retailer? Find out whom you are doing business with to know if it is really a solid company. Know the products they are selling and the average amount they are achieving. The more you know about the retailer offering you the affiliate program, the easier it will be for you to know if that program is really for you and your site.

Is the affiliate a one tier or two tier program? A single tier program pays you only for the business you yourself have generated. A two tier program pays you for the business, plus it also pays you a commission on the on the sales generated by any affiliate you sponsor in your program. Some two-tier programs are even paying small fees on each new affiliate you sponsor. More like a recruitment fee.

Lastly, what is the amount of commission paid? 5% - 20% is the commission paid by most programs. .01% - .05% is the amount paid for each hit. If you find a program that also pays for impressions, the amount paid is not much at all. As you can see from the figures, you will now understand why the average sales amount and hit to sale ratio is important.

These are just some of the questions that needed answering first before you enter into an affiliate program. You should be familiar with the many important aspects that your chosen program should have before incorporating them into your website. Try to ask your affiliate program choices these questions. These can help you select the right program for you site from among the many available.
